- Is your web site secure?
All orders placed through YardBright.com are secure. All information submitted through the checkout feature is encrypted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology. This ensures that you are connected directly to our server and no outside parties can view this info. You will see a padlock icon at the bottom of your browser window to signify this.
- Do you have an expanded product line?
Everything we offer is directly placed into the website. We are adding new products every day. If you don't see something you like now, check back in a few days. If you have suggestions on new products, or colors, please email us at info@YardBright.com and let us know.
- Do you charge Taxes?
We charge a state tax rate of 8.25% for Texas residents only. All other orders purchased outside of the State of Texas are not subject to sales tax.
If you are a Texas reseller, you will need to send us your Sales Tax Exemption Certificate by fax or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Do you have special pricing for Landscape or Electrical contractors?
Yes! As the manufacturer of these quality products, we are able to offer contractors better pricing that will beat the competition. Please fax your Business information (Tax ID#, Company Name, BBB references) to (915) 591-0146 or email us at info@YardBright.com
- What is your Return Policy?
*Returned items that have suffered physical damage by the customer will not be accepted for any reason.
*All products purchased from YardBright Landscape may be returned within a period of 30 days from the date of purchase.
*Only those items specifically designated as being on Back-Order may be returned within a period of 30 days from the date of delivery.
*After 30 days all returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee for items that are not defective. This restocking fee may be waived if a replacement order of equal or greater value is placed.
*Shipping is non-refundable.
*All returns must be accompanied by a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) Number.
*Electrical components, such as lamps, bulbs, wiring, and cable are final and nonrefundable.
- What Freight Companies do you use?
Primarily, we use FedEx ground as our company of choice for shipping product. Large orders may be shipped by truck. We do not ship to PO boxes.
- What are your shipping rates?
We charge $5.95 freight per order for orders shipped within the continental United States. Hawaii, Alaska & Puerto Rico customers pay the actual cost of freight for the shipment. We charge the actual freight amount to all other areas of the world. Taxes & duties may also apply.
- Do you distribute personal information?
NO. We do not participate in any Mass Mailings, nor do we sell our lists to any Marketing companies. Your information is safe with us on our secure server.
- Can I Pay using any other method other than Credit Card?
YES, you may. For these orders however, you must call us toll free at (866) 562-1224. You may pay by Check, Cash, or money order. Please be advised that if paying by check you may have to wait an additional 5 days before your check positively clears. A $30 charge will be billed to you for all returned checks. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MAY NOT BE ELIGABLE FOR ADDITIONAL DISCOUNTS THAT ARE OFFERED AS WEB PROMOTIONAL CODES.
Also, We have recently added PayPal as an option. If PayPal is chosen, you will not have an option to change your order once placed. If a change is needed, a new order must entered.
- What is the shipping cut-off time?
At YardBright, we are efficient. Most orders entered before 3:00pm MDT will be processed SAME DAY if the items are in stock. If an order is received on weekends, holidays, or after 3:00pm, it will be processed THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY.
- Do you Ship to Canada?
Yes, Please call us so we can give you a quotation on your freight charges. Taxes & duties are the responsibility of the recipient
Choosing the Right Products
- How do I choose a Power Supply that is right for me?
The answer is simple! Add the total sum of the wattages of your lights together. Once you get a total, select the power supply that is closest to your application without being under.
- Do I need an electrician to install my lighting?
NO. Although you may use an electrician, one is not necessary to install low voltage landscape lighting. These lights are designed to be DIY (Do It Yourself) type of installation. Our connectors easily pierce the wire to ensure correct connection. YardBright highly recommends that you try installing your lighting by yourself. You may find the experience rewarding. for thse who are not the "DIY" types, you can contact a landscaper to easily connect the lights. We will soon have a directory of recommended landscapers in your area in which you may contact for help in installations.
- How deep do I bury my wiring?
We recommend you bury your cable at least 4 inches underground. Do not bury connector, or main cable in combustable materials such as wood chips, bark, or dried leaves.
- What are the average life of your Halogen Lamps?
Our lamps have an average rated life of 2000 hours. Depending on your installation, voltage drop, and conditions, the lamps may last longer. Our halogen lamps are DISCOUNTED from what most others charge. There is no warranty on our lamps.
- Why does my circuit breaker keep tripping?
A Circuit Breaker tripping is a sign that something is installed incorrectly. Check your wattages again to make sure you are not overloading the transformer (i.e. 150 watt transformer with 200 total watts of lights installed). next, check your conections at each lamp. It is possible that the pins may have crossed, or the wires are making contact some how.
- How do my lights know when to turn on?
YardBright utilizes Advanced Photocell Technology. This means that when it gets dark, your lights turn on. If you have your lighting pre-set for the number of hours to stay lit (i.e. 1, 4, 8 hours after darkness), they will stay lit for that amount of time and turn off. If set to Dusk/Dawn, they will stay on all night until daylight. Our photocells ignore momentary light events (such as car headlights) and reset every 24 hours.
- My lights stay on all day...why?
You have placed the unit where there is not enough natural daylight. Place it where it can catch some natural light.
- Can I use my transformer indoors?
YES! Our units are rated for inside and outside use. Our easy controls allow you to use the units as a switch, ormay be plugged into a wall that is switched by a lightswitch.
- Will rain affect my glass on the lights?
No. Rain is natural water. Irrigation systems providing city/well water will develop a sheen on the lenses with Calcium or Lime. Use a product such as non abrasive bathroom cleaner that removes calcium deposits, or hard water deposits to clean lenses.

- What is the warranty policy for 12v Low Voltage Lights?
YardBright warrants to its customers that its products will be free from original manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship to the original purchaser. Aluminum fixtures are covered for two years. Brass, copper and stainless steel fixtures are covered for five years.
For the first year from the original sale, YardBright offers exchange of products found to have manufacturing defects. For years two through five from the original sale YardBright will repair, or replace all parts which are found to have original manufacturing defects, provided the product is returned at the customers expense.
This warranty does not apply to replacement lamps, loss or damage to the product due to improper installation, abuse, alteration, mishandling, accident, or if the product has been serviced by other than YardBright, or its authorized service centers. YardBright is not liable for any loss or damage and property damage resulting from installer's negligence.
- What is the warranty policy for SOLAR Lights?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of our solar product. If you are not satisfied with your purchase and need to return or exchange the item, please contact us via e-mail for a Return Material Authorization Number (RMA#). You can return the item within 30 days of invoice date provided the item is in new, unused condition inside its original packaging. No returns will be accepted without the RMA#. Return shipping costs are your responsibility, therefore the item must be returned with shipping and insurance prepaid. No C.O.D.’s can be accepted. A credit will then be issued upon receipt and inspection of the item (less shipping and handling fees).
If an item is damaged in transit, please do not accept the delivery. However, if you do receive a damaged item, contact us via e-mail within 5 days and we will initiate a claim with the shipping company.
Our warranty is 30 days on any defective product. If an item is defective, you must contact us via e-mail for a RMA# within 30 days from date of invoice. Please pack the item in its original packaging. We will then arrange for pick-up of the item by our shipper. Upon receipt and inspection of the item we will either repair or replace it.
Every item is shipped with instructions and may have some assembly required. Customer satisfaction is our priority, so if you have any questions regarding our product, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service Department.
